How NACE is working with you to ensure GDPR compliance

At NACE, our members and customers’ data privacy and security are important to us. Since the European Union’s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) went into effect on May 25, 2018, we have updated our privacy policy, as well as procedures and responses to address data compliance as outlined by GDPR. While the regulation primarily affects individuals in the EU, we’ve taken it a step further by implementing GDPR's best practices on how to interact with and protect all of our customers, no matter where you live and do business.

How do these changes affect our exhibitors?

Pre- and post-show attendee lists with contact information will no longer be distributed
GDPR states that all registered attendees must provide explicit consent to have their information shared with any third parties. This means that we would only be able to send you lists of attendees who have agreed to share their full contact details. Rather than sending you partial lists with incomplete information, NACE is instead providing other opportunities to connect with your target customers.

Simplified post-show reports
You will receive a condensed report on the number of attendees, registration types, and number of companies represented. These reports will enable you to better evaluate your ROI from exhibiting.

Valuable lead retrieval, available at all of our events
Per the new regulations, attendees who provide their information via a lead retrieval device are considered to have given their consent to share their information with you. Make valuable connections at your booth, use lead retrieval to exchange contact information easily and make notes, and then nurture these already-warm leads through personal follow-ups.

Networking opportunities at happy hours, dinners, and receptions
Held after technical sessions are finished, these networking opportunities set the stage to meet a wider audience in a relaxed atmosphere. Rather than hoping attendees stop by your booth, mingle, and introduce yourself – you never know who will be your next hot lead.

NACE staff support on site to help you get the most out of your exhibit or sponsorship
